Welcome to Artful Awareness Meditation, where we strive to make meditation accessible to everyone. Meditation can be done anywhere, on anything and needn't be based on traditional practises. We believe in incorporating meditation into everyday life as a practical, meaningful tool that has many benefits. Our approach challenges the traditional ideas of meditation and provides scientifically proven techniques for a happier, healthier you.
Your Guide
Hi, I'm Alison, an accredited meditation teacher and wellness expert with over 15 years experience. I'm also a health and wellness writer for Prevention Australia and Healthy Food Guide health and nutrition magazines.
Embarking on my meditation journey was a practical step towards managing the intense stress from over two decades in the media industry. As years passed, I've seen meditation gain popularity, with the backing of a growing body of scientific research. However despite its growing acceptance, misconceptions persist, including the notion that it's solely for the spiritually inclined.
This is the reason I founded Artful Awareness Meditation. My mission is to make meditation accessible to everyone by demonstrating the wide variety of styles and science-backed techniques to help individuals find what works for them.
Whether you want to wanting to unlock your creativity, increase focus and attention, build resilience or ease stress, meditation is a great tool to help you through your life.
Where We Are
We are situated in the upper Hunter region and offer sessions in both our natural surrounds and in the Newcastle area. Our aim is to provide a space for you to connect with yourself and nature, using your five senses to really see, hear and feel the world around you in a more insightful way.
